Dear friends and watchers,

5 years ago i joined DA and to cellibrate this, i am holding a contest!! It's called "The Dream of.....".
We all have dreams, some great, some small, some we managed to fullfill and some will always be dreams. That´s life.

We artists here on DA have a gift to put some of our dreams to words, poems and for us manipulators into fantastic images.
Being creative and to visualize the things that come to mind is also a good way to escape the real world for a while and travel to places,
where no man has gone before. Borrowed this from startrek, hope captain Kirk doesn´t mind!

We all love to photoshop, so there has to be some kind of heart in this work what you hopefully want to make!!
The rest is totally up to you to make. All genres are allowed, you are totally free. No specific stock or other restrictions!!

Rules, I thought there were no rules

You only can participate if you are my friend or watcher ,I will invite you by note to participate !!

 

Only photomanipulations please, overpainting skin etc. is oke but no digital work from scratch!!
Only 1 work is allowed to participate, so make it a good one!!
Respect Da so no illegal stock please!! and credit your stockproviders!!!!

 

The twist

The contest is all about creativity and how far can you go using your abillities.
There are no levels. So no beginners, moderate or advanced catagories this time.
To give everybody the chance to win a prize, your work gets points and will be judged by
Creativity         20 points    are you creative, show me!!
Skills                  5 points   composition, lighting, colors
Effort               10 points   blending stock, painting things like hair, cutting out models neatly etc. 
Stocks             10 points   for very used stock you get 1 point max. 10
Self reflection   5 points   Where do you stand as a manipulator  give yourself points!! But  be honest to yourself!!
 
It means :    Do you think you are: still a beginner 1 or 2 points
                                                         moderate ( i know how to use photoshop pretty well ) 3 points
                                                         advanced (I am  very good using photoshop) 4 points 
                                                         pro (i use it professionally) 5 points
It´s a bit like masterchef if you didn´t well to make it, but it tasted great ,then you can win!!
 

Prizes

winner gets   1500 Da points
second gets   700 points
third    gets   500 points
fourth  gets   200 points
fifth     gets   100 points

 

 

Contest closes on March 1st , 2014 ,winners will be announced a week later .

I have a doubt about my level... I'd say 4 because the description seems to sum it up pretty well. But still, the word "advanced" sounds a little bit excessive ! :D
